European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI)
The European Union research project “European Holocaust Research Infrastructure” (EHRI) is a project dedicated to the accessibility of collections related to the history of the Holocaust in an environment available through the Internet.
The project focuses on archives and collections related to the Holocaust, while the goal of the program is to create a digital repository of all Holocaust-related collections hosted in state archives, Jewish museums and private institutions in Europe.
The sources cover both the war and post-war periods and include state and private archives, documents, reports and archival material relating to the Jewish communities of Europe. The project is funded by the European Union’s 7th Framework Programme and coordinated by the Netherlands Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies (NIOD).
