The Holocaust of Greek Jews, 1941-’44, travelling at the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Corinth

27 January, 2023

The travelling exhibition of the Jewish Museum of Greece “The Holocaust of the Greek Jews, 1941-1944” travelled to Corinth and was presented at the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Corinth on 27 January 2023, International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Holocaust, when it was inaugurated. The exhibition is the fruit of long-term research and continuous enrichment and includes photographic material of the period and archives from the collections of the Jewish Museum of Greece, aiming at a thorough presentation of the tragic events of that period. The exhibition was originally scheduled to remain at the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Corinth until 20 February, but following a request, its stay was extended until 8 March 2023. The exhibition was presented within the framework of the cooperation programme “Bridges 2022-2024: People-Histories-Memories”, which is implemented by the Historical-Laographical Museum of Corinth, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Corinth and the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation and was visited by a total of 657 children from twelve (12) schools, the participants of a scientific conference held at the Museum and many independent visitors.
